TODAY THIS BLOG IS BORN
The three of us felt dumb. We are not suppose to be here. Turns out that clubs and society does not include the library, which is a servicing organization. So we don’t get to have our own blog? What a disappointment. But then, all we have to do is ask. So the kind Mr Tor ask Mr Pius to create a blog for us. That is how today, this blog is born. Hope its somehow useful for us in the near future, since we have already spent 2 precious hours sitting in lab4.
The thing is, i’m not sure what to do with this blog when i propose to Mr Tor to create ene for us. I was just bored because i am stuck in lab4 with nowhere to go. Now that this blog is born, i get a few ideas how to use this to make things convenient interesting for librarians and library goers alike.
My proposal that might or might not succeed. After 1 week school break or anytime in this year, we will start:
1.Posting important/ urgent notices via blog, so everyone can check whether the library is open or close, even in the holidays, without actually coming here to find out.
2.Relay messages from the upper level of library administration to all librarians.
3. Create a space for librarians to voice out about their duty as librarians, our perspectives, complains, experiences, and what we have seen and heard here in the library.
4. Faithfully reporting to the public the improvements librarians of our generation (2010-2011 ) made for the library.
5. Throw in some of the fun stories of us working together, maybe attracting future librarians and to entertain the usually bored on-liners.
Hopefully after this people would actually put the newspaper back after reading and push back chairs before leaving. HAH, i wish!
But at least there’s a hope that this newly transparent working of the library will attract a much more civilized crowd in here, studying more than R & R here. Our supporters in world peace., or library peace, show some example and initiative, would ya? That’s all I’ve got to say=)
HAVE A NICE DAY!
sincerely,
lisha
